Tote bag

******

I just finished working on a new tote bag.  Nothing, in itself, is the least bit exciting about that....but I DID have to come up with something to post about!  This one is made using recycled denim and lace from my stash.  The denim is some that I discharge dyed many moons ago and  had been lurking in my stash.

Another anonymous quote for you...."My wish for you is simple.  Have the best life imaginable, live like you will never grow old, laugh, giggle, cry if you must.  Play as hard as you work, make time for people and things you adore.  When you sleep I hope you have the best dreams that will make you wake up with a smile on your face.  And that you always know that you are loved.  That's my wish for you"

    1. I'm of two thoughts on the 'reply on the blog' issue....I have to train my brain to remember to check back on blogs to see if there's been a response to my comment and, on my own blog, sometimes I want to be more wordy with my response (or say something I don't necessarily want everyone to be able to read). Lately I've been reading a number of blogs and the consensus about which way people prefer is pretty much split down the middle. Think at some point I might ask people to vote on my blog as to which way they prefer I go - that's if Blogger gets put back to rights!

  3. I JUST found out about the whole blogger thing! I've been so busy with work that I've been out of the blogging world and missed this. What a terrible, terrible idea!! Seriously, ridiculous. I think I'll just be sure to visit blogs in return and not worry about responding unless a question is asked because I can't expect them to return JUST to read MY comment?? ANYWAY . . . I ADORE that little sock raccoon . . . I could eat him hahahaha!

    1. Blogger/Google is working on fixing it Lauren - so don't panic quite yet. The thing we do have to worry about (or so THEY say) is the new privacy laws in the EU (scroll down to read my post about that if you're interested).

  4. I have mine set to notify me of comments awaiting moderation. That still seems to be working.

    1. I don't get the notifications in my email any more - but that's one of the things that Blog-grrr is working on - supposedly.

  6. Love the bag, Mary Anne!
But, oh, how I’m struggling with replies to comments! I totally get it either way! Who has time to go back to see if someone has replied to a comment, and I like to say “more” in reply to comments than I want to on my blog! But also it’s nice to read replies on the page so that if there is anything new to say everyone can read it.
I’m now totally loosing track of my replies, and I do so like to keep in touch with all my blogging friends.
    Hugs,
    Barbara xx

    1. I'm with you in not knowing which way to go. I far prefer getting the comments in my email so I can respond that way, but there are people who like to return here to see the responses. It's a no-win situation I think.

  7. A lovely tote bag, Mary-Anne, lace and denim always play nicely together. I keep forgetting to come back to blogs to see bloggers' replies. I am still commenting via my email. I just send a new email to each person as they are normally followers who comment frequently. More hassle but at least I can be more personal in my comments. Let's hope we can go back to the land of 'normal' blog soon. Thank you for your lovely wish, dear lady. Xx

    1. Thank you Kim. I've always loved denim and lace too. As for returning to blogs to see replies...I have learned to check when the blogger puts up a new post to see if there was a response on my previous comment. That way, even though it could be a few days, I do see if they've responded. Not ideal, but it works.

    1. Thanks Becki! I used up all the discharge dyed denim I had so it's definitely a win/win. And those sock raccoons are definitely adorable. Might have to try making one!
