Another pillow 'bit' and some gifties
This shows another bit of my pillow cover. The entire thing measures approx. 15" square. It's sewn up now and sitting on my couch, but it's not 'finished'. It still needs a piece of wide eyelet trim to finish it off (at least in my mind anyway). Unfortunately my stash let me down and there's none to be had until I made a trip to the fabric shop. I'll show you the pillow next time.
Today I finished up making several more of the makeup bags (and one shaving bag) that will be used as little gifties for Christmas.
These are super quick to make - and great for stash-busting. I made these larger than the pattern called for and sized them to make use of various sized zippers I already had in my stash.
Today your quote is from Harlan Miller... "I wish we could put up some of the Christmas spirit in jars and open a jar of it every month"

Sew special to see your Christmas CQ in detail and I love I. Your bags are wonderful gifts to give. I made several only because I couldn't stop at one or two. Jingle Joys...
ReplyDeleteNow wouldn't it be lovely if we could open up a jar of Christmas every month....but then I don't see why we can't. I can't believe all that teeny tiny cross stitching on your lovely pillow, so many intricate details. It is amazing Mary Anne.
ReplyDeleteI have loved seeing all the little glimpses of your Christmas pillow Mary Anne and I am really looking forward to seeing it finished! Love your little pouches, they make such great gifts! Christine x
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are a lot busier than I am. I'm off to make more cookies now.
ReplyDeleteUseful gifts are the best, great idea.
ReplyDeleteThe pillow is wonderful. I especially like that your seams are all cross stitch patterns. I've only ever seen one other person do a few on CQ.
ReplyDeleteOff to see the pouch tute.
So nice to see the pillow bit by bit. Looking forward to its grand 'finish'
