However, I DO have some things to
mumble about!!
1.
This one is time-sensitive and you will need to act quickly if you are interested. Kathy Shaw (Shawkl) has opened up new registrations for her Intermediate On-Line Crazy Quilting course. It's free and the only pre-requisite is that you have taken her Beginner's Class. Registrations close March 1st, so hurry!! Go HERE.
2.
For those of you who use your sewing machines a lot, perhaps you have run into issues with your bobbin not acting the way it should. There is an excellent article HERE about what to do to fix the problem.
3.
My friend Pam, of KittyandMeDesigns, has posted a great tutorial on the use of shibori ribbon in your crazy quilt pieces. Go HERE for that.
4.
While I was exploring new-to-me blogs during the 'Grow Your Blog' hop, I 'met' a wonderful Canadian artist named Judy Cooper and loved her work. She just posted about a jaw-dropping garden-themed sewing box that she created and I know you will love seeing it HERE. While you're there, be sure to scroll down and see her hussif!
Today your quote is from Bertrand Russell Delong...... "The most valuable things in life are not measured in monetary terms. The really important things are not houses and lands, stocks and bonds, automobiles and real estate, but friendships, trust, confidence, empathy, mercy, love and faith"
great minds think alike, I have been following Judy for a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteAnd how very generous of Pam to send the lace
I am so glad you linked to Judy Cooper's blog, because she is amazing, and I mistakenly thought I had added her to my reader list back on the first day of the GYB Party...NOT! I have a lot of catching up to do now :)
ReplyDeleteHello Mary Anne! I have signed on for the ICQC.... hope I can keep up! See you there? :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link to Judy's blog...what beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteDeb
Such a good quote!
ReplyDeleteI just went over to Judy's site and commented on her lovely sewing box. Quilters are such nice people, sharing kindly what they find. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, your mention of things that are REALLY important touches my heart. It's perfect!
no pictures!!!! what about a picture of that man, your slave, cooking? doing domestic chores? or of beautiful grandbaby? or of your stash?
ReplyDeleteI'm scrolling down through your blog and discovered your reference to me!! Thanks bunches. I've not been a good reader of blogs - I skim, but now, having a bit of a break from working, I'm trying to be a bit more attentive to my very special readers.
