I think maybe I'm French knotted out for the time being! Here's the latest section of the landscape...
- I'd like to try making some of THESE. And THESE too!
- I love the creations of THIS amazing artist! I really wish I could learn to make what she does. Seeing her creations sent me on a quest and I came across THIS - not as beautiful but it's a start.
- HERE is something you might like to do if you have some old jeans.
Today's quote is from Danny Thomas..."There are two kinds of people in this world. The givers and the takers. The takers sometimes eat better but the givers always sleep better"

More is good.
ReplyDeleteThe stitched roses link is neat. I can see embellishing a tunic with those.
May
Coming from a crazy quilting background I've always thought more is good when it comes to stitching.
Deleteyour cherry blossoms are three d!!! how did you do that?!?
ReplyDeleteanywho, i would sit on that bench and listen to the bees buzz and the birds chirp...
The blossoms are simply cut out of felt and then only stitching down through the centre and the 'veins' in the flowers - the rest is left floating. And yes, I'd join you on that bench!
DeleteThe bench and more flowers is the perfect addition to the foreground. Lovely patient work, Mary Anne.
ReplyDeleteI have so much fun adding embroidery to these pieces and it's hard to know when to stop!
DeleteI can see why you're "french knotted" out! You've been doing a lot of them! Love the daffodil tutorial link. I remember making fabric flowers back in the 70's with fabric and pipe cleaners in different colors. Mom always kept us busy with crafts.
ReplyDeleteI think fabric flowers were pretty popular back in the 70's because I know I did them too. I remember making them with some sort of dippable plastic film too.
DeleteBeautiful work 👏
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!
DeleteLovely scattered blossoms on this piece...you definitely have made your share of French Knots for the year!!:)))
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julierose
Oh I doubt these will be the last French knots I make....lol
DeleteAnother beautiful piece here. And also what a great quote. You are picking some wonderful and appropriate ones for these days. Thanks too for the links.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jocelyn! I'm glad you are liking the quotes I find - some would say I'm being too political but so be it.
