A finish!

 Introducing.....'Dancing Sky'!

FOR SALE!
measures approx. 22 x 18"

All this cold weather means I've been staying inside and playing in my sewing room. This one was super fun to make and I'm almost sorry it's done.  I'm also sorry that a photo doesn't really show the sparkle/shimmer it has.  I think you can click on it to embiggen it so perhaps a larger size might show it better.  My inspiration was a colouring page I found on the internet.

- Thank you to Canadian Needle Nana for THIS rabbit hole (don't say I didn't warn you!!)

- And thanks to Joy of Days Filled With Joy for THIS roundup of some fun-looking block of the months, as well as a downloadable page to help you keep track.

- If you're looking for something to create for Valentine's, perhaps THIS would be fun.

- I don't know if you've seen the knit or crocheted 'Melt the ICE' hats , but the pattern is available HERE for a nominal charge.

I came across this 'quote' and it made me stop and think...wow, who knew there were THAT many stitches in a pair of socks....I think I should lie down until I recover...

    1. I hope it does too. This one didn't have much embroidery so it took a little less time, plus which I think I might have been a tad obsessed with it.

I think I saw a way on the puzzle site that you can embiggen the pieces...?

Sherryofcreateology: Dancing Sky is Beautiful! I knew hand knit socks had a lot of love put into them but I certainly had no idea it takes 35,000 stitches! WOW! And when I think of all the socks you have knit for your Christmas boxes each year…WHEW!

    1. Maybe I should put a copy of the 35,000 stitch thing in with every pair of socks I make?

    1. Yes, who knew indeed! I was astounded when I saw that but when I sat down and did a rough estimate on the ones I make, it's not far out. (and thank you - glad you like the landscape)

  7. That is amazing. I love this and the polar bear is great.
Now that is a lot of stitches going into a pair of socks.

    God bless.

    1. I really wanted to create another silouette piece and the bear seemed to be a good addition.
Yes, I guess I must love my family and friends but even I didn't realize just how much!

    1. Yes, that's a lot of little prayers, but oh so true.

  10. I have always avoided figuring out how many stitches are in the socks I knit. I don't know that knowing a number would actually stop me from knitting more socks, but I suspect it would make me hesitate!

    1. I actually sat and did a rough estimate on the socks I make and I don't think this number is too far off, particularly for the size 13 feet all my men have.

  11. And I think the Northern Lights piece came out really well! I am impressed by the way you never stop exploring and experimenting.

    1. I always try to challenge myself by using some type of new technique for each landscape...otherwise I know I'd get bored. It's far to easy to churn them out and not change a thing.

    1. I've only seen them once and that was years ago. So many people are posting pictures online so I was inspired to try to recreate them. Thanks!
