I've added some cherry blossoms and am currently boring myself silly making innumerable French knots to create the tree in the distance.
- I rather like THIS but I'd want to add an additional row (perhaps two)
- THIS might be fun for either yourself or make as a gift.
- If you like crazy quilting, perhaps you'd like to see THIS article.

ReplyDeleteNice work on this..hugs, Julierose
The cherry blossoms will soon be out in British Columbia where our #2 son and his family live. I'm trying very hard not to hate them, particularly when we're buried in snow.

DeleteSherryofcreateology: MA your Cherry Blossom landscape is stunning. Spring will be here very soon. Love your French knot tree! We have had no rain, no snow and very mild winter temps so far. Yesterday hubby took off the protective burlap coverings from the Cactus plants. I think it is too soon but Father Knows Best! Blessings…

DeleteBeautiful as always MA! I actually like make French Knots. I remember my grandma teaching me how to do them back in early 70's.
ReplyDeleteI suspect my maternal grandma taught me to make them too, but I can't remember for sure. She was the embroiderer in the family.

ReplyDeleteFrench knots are really the only stitch that works to represent cherry blossoms, even though I had to do a lot of them!
DeleteThat sure is a lot of French knots! I love the Cherry Blossom tree.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had thought to count them!
DeleteHow pretty this landscape is going to be. It's going to provide you many, many hours of enjoyment playing with embroidery. Right up your alley, me thinks.
