Yes, there are 34 of 48 little stitcheries completed (albeit there's also been three that were re-done because if the thread debacle).
Today's quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt..."Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people"
You have more patience than me for doing cross stitch. Hats off to you. The Advent calendar will be very nice when done. Interesting links.
ReplyDeleteI was brewing cataracts for more than two years and my cross stitching was seriously curtailed - I'm making up for it now! Two Advent calendars are in the works.
DeleteThe Crossing Threads gallery your last link, is the collaborative work of two sisters, and it's wonderful. A whole different and energetic take on freeform weaving. Thanks for this. I hadn't seen them before.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found something of interest!
DeleteOh, those stitch sampler books are to die for! Too bad I didn’t see and start on one about 20 years ago!
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to make one for years but still haven't gotten to it - one of those things that stays on the 'to do' list that might happen one day.
DeleteDelightful little trains and Drivers. The boys will love them. I made one of Maya's cloth booklets- more waiting to happen. Easy to follow. Cathy, it's never too late to start.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the little guys will like them even have as much as I've liked making these!
DeleteWow, I your energy is amazing. Lovely cross stitching
ReplyDeleteDoesn't take much energy to sit on my butt and play with needles and thread - just plain fun.
DeleteI got hooked on looking deeper into the Bits (tshirt) page. TYVM and bookmarked it. I've made a sampler of my machine stitches for both my machines. It's very handy but not as fancy as what you shared. That would be an interesting book for you to pass on to family.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found something of further interest. I've thought about doing a sampler for my machine stitches too (not that my machine has very many to choose from)....another of those things I never get around to doing.
DeleteYour little stitcheries are so very cute...and detailed. You have reall been busy and will soon reach your goal. Summer Bliss Dear.
ReplyDeleteI think I will feel somewhat sad once all the little stitcheries are completed. Then I'll have to make up my mind how to put the entire thing together.
DeleteEnjoying seeing these little stitcheries. Beautiful header...love those flowers. How did the fancy hair clippers work out? Especially glad you had a good result from your health incident. Thanks for the great links too.
ReplyDeleteThank you! As for the hair clippers - they're going to take Resident Chef a few tries I think before he's comfortable using them. Up until now he's been using his beard trimmer so it's a bit of a learning curve.
