34 - and counting

The landscape is coming along but showing you a picture today would be rather useless because, to the naked eye, it doesn't look much different than what I showed previously.  So....instead of that....how about a picture of the growing pile of hexie flowers?

I think there are 34 in this grouping - with more to come (not too many more though).

TECHNICAL NOTE:  If you, like me, are noticing an increase in x-rated spam comments you can report it to Blog-grrr by simply looking for the ? mark in the taskbar and there's a place there to register your concern.  You don't need to include a screenshot unless you choose to.  I have received lots of spam but never anything like what's getting through currently.  Hopefully they're working on it and will be able to rectify it shortly.

  1. Thanks for the link to all the embroidery stitches! I don't know if my hands could do it these days, but if I ever attempt it, I'll have a great resource :)
(And no, I wouldn't wear it, but it would make me happy to see someone else wearing it. I've just never been a very colorful dresser.)

    1. Mary Corbet is a goldmine of information on all things embroidery. I would like to think I'd wear that jacket - the colours are definitely me - but I know I'd lose my nerve.

  2. I wouldn't wear that cardigan--unless I was really freezing--and even then --maybe not...yikes...;000
{I am still getting those disgusting comments...}..I keep spamming them and deleting but they still come through...
I don't allow Anon--but this is marked "Unknown"...

    1. I honestly don't know if I'd wear it or not, but I suspect not. I like to think I'm a whole lot braver than what I actually am!
So far no smutty comments today, but it's likely too soon to celebrate. Hopefully they're working on it.

  3. That multi colored garment looks like a weapon of mass destruction. Or like a strange beast that has captured the heroine and needs to be vanquished. Or perhaps it's just me.

    1. Interesting take on it Liz - never thought of the mass destruction aspect of it. I would never make it because the sheer cost of the yarn would be a huge deterrent.

  4. I would wear that jacket in a heartbeat! Even better if it was available in tropical colors—hot pink, lime, yellow & aqua. What a great piece to thrown on over tshirt & jeans.

  5. Wow! Look at you go, girl! So, so many hexies in so, so little time. Why I think you just might be loving fashioning these itty bitty hexies. I must say they all look as pretty as a picture.

    1. Well it's commonly called having something to do while parked in front of the mind-numbingly boring tv in the evenings!

  6. I would wear the cardigan if it was made of finer yarn...it is just too too fluffy and I'm already fluffy enough without any help!.... but I love the bright bold colors. Love your hexie pile! And thanks for the Animal portrait link....I have been wanting to try that for quite some time...........

    1. I'm with you in thinking that it would make me look fluffy-er too. I like it, but on someone else.

  7. I've always liked hexies but have no project using them in mind! Too many other things to do. I like the clothes pin answer to displaying a small picture.

    1. I thought that clothes pin idea was rather clever. And I know what you mean about too many things to do. There are never enough hours in the day.

  8. I like the sweater but maybe not in those colours.

    1. I like it too, but on someone else. It's interesting to read the comments and hearing what people think of it.

  9. The hexies are cute, but look like a lot of work.

    1. What's work when you're having fun? I honestly thought the bloom would go off the romance (so to speak) but so far it hasn't. Might come to that when I start sewing them into place for the quilt.

  10. Looking forward to seeing these beautiful hexie flowers come together in a quilt. Hugs Christine xx

    1. Me too Christine - I have an idea in my head but seeing it 'fer real might be a whole different matter!

  11. Some day I'm going to settle in and make a dog quilt. No, I would NOT wear that bulky sweater. I'd look like a blimp, lol. Maybe I should dig my hexies out to get back in the swing of needlework.

    1. Seems like the 'wouldn't wear it' is winning out. I'd like to think I would but I know myself well enough to know I wouldn't.

  12. Love your Hexie Flowers. I like artsy clothing however I would not wear this cardigan as it is too bulky. Clever clothespin easel. Staying well in this Covid world. <3

    1. I wouldn't wear it either for the same reason. I like to think I would be comfortable wearing artsy clothes but when it comes right down to it I know I would wimp out. I'm already 5'10" so don't need to make myself look any larger.

  13. Oooh... Looking forward to seeing what you produce with all those hexie flowers! And the little crocheted dog!!! That is adorable! SPAM seems to come in spurts for me, but lately I haven't had much. That said... was it this morning??? I dreamt of my blog being overrun with SPAM comments. I remember thinking it was going to take me hours and hours to clean it all up. It was about that time that I woke up. Thank goodness.

    1. I'm looking forward to seeing what I do with all those flowers too! I have a thought in mind but we all know that I have the attention span of a gnat so it's likely to change several times before I'm done. The latest round of spam (touch wood!!!) seems to have abated but I don't want to say that too loudly for fear it comes back. This lot was the most graphic of any I've ever had.

    1. You're welcome. Mine seem to have stopped so don't know if it's my complaint, coincidence or they've fixed the issue. Either way I can live without the smutty comments!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
