A new beginning - finally

Never let it be said that I don't procrastinate!  Sort of.  Anyway....here's a start at the next landscape....

The past few days I've been at odds it seems - perhaps this enforced stay-at-home-ism is getting to me.  Who knows, but I don't seem to have been able to settle into doing any one thing and have spent FAR too much time engrossed in the computer.  It's still cool here, with snow flurries over the past weekend, so I'm more than ready for spring.  This afternoon the plan is to do some more on this landscape and see where it goes.

Today's quote is from Christine Caine..."Sometimes when you're in a dark place you think you've been buried, but you've actually been planted"

  1. Oh I am fascinated by those blue areas on the barn's roof. Will be watching to see what you do with them...
Lovely landscape start....still chilly here...no snow though...just wind, wind and more wind...

    1. Those blue pieces do look rather odd, don't they! Hopefully it will all become clear as I carry on. But then again, maybe not?

  2. Thanks to your influence, I checked that box when I posted a link yesterday! So laptop readers will get the benefit.

Also it's your doing that I'm making Dolliver hats, under great pressure since they saw the fancy ribbon woven one.

    1. Oh oh - I'm in trouble again! Don't think all this linkage discussion was quite my influence though - Becki started the ball rolling and I just ran with it.
So sorry about the D's - but just think, it might silence them for a little while if they have new spring hats!

And thanks for the link to Lemon Pepper Studios, her embroidery work is amazing as is her use of color.

  5. Yes to your next landscape. Somehow I find myself doing less with more time being isolated which is curious, however, I feel overwhelmed with so much unknown. Our Southern Utah Covid-19 Spike is now being considered to be Mid-July 2020. We have company coming Mid-June and will need to show them around and be out and about...something I am not comfortable with at all. They insist on coming and it involves a wedding in their family in a neighboring state. Oy Vey! Staying safe and well...so far.

    1. I understand you not being the least bit comfortable with company coming AND the expectation to be shown around. What are they thinking?! One wonders at the advisability of there being a wedding too. Some people are just plain ignoring the rules and going their merry way without consideration for others. I would be tempted to tell them no and let them find alternative arrangements. Stay safe!

  7. The link from here and back is perfect, all I had to do was use the X to close. So quick. Great links too. Thanks for changing from the old way. Another great barn on the way. I love the trees and snow shadowing in the foreground. Can hardly wait to see what happens next. I hope spring comes a bit earlier for you.

    1. Glad the new linkage is working for you! Hopefully it will be okay for everyone else too. Hopefully I can pull this barn off because at the moment it's not exciting me the way I wish it would.

  9. Nice start on the new quilt
    The resin table is stunning!
Pinterest has been doing weird things. I click on a link, and Pinterest logs me in. I don't remember linking my blogger account to Pinterest. They also refuse to open the account I've had for years. The results on another change to theirs.

    1. I love those resin tables - no place to put one here but I would certainly love one. As for the Pinterest thing - I've noticed it doing funny things too but not what you describe. Interesting.

    1. Good! I'm glad you like the new set up and that it's working for you Joy. There's no difference in the way it works on my computer for some reason, but I'm happy to oblige if it helps others.
