Used up some more of my scrap yarn to make a wee sweater for our #3 grandson....some of the colours are the same as the sweater I just made for his older brother....
The pattern is the same as the sweater I posted about a couple of days ago and the yarn is also Paton's Canadiana. I know it's going to be too large for him to wear for a little while but perhaps by next winter it will be perfect.
And....the mailman brought this.....
Enough for two pairs of socks (on the left); upper middle is Scrubby yarn to make some dish scrubbers (perhaps for the Christmas box); the green on the right is for a sweater for #1 grandson; and the orange....well, you're just going to have to wait and see what I'm making!.
Today the quote is from Desmond Tutu..."Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world"
Stay safe. Stay well.
What a cute sweater--I used to use Patons yarn a lot when I knitted...I always thought it was a good value for such
ReplyDeletenice yarn...Have a lovely weekend Julirose
Patons makes great yarn for things like this project where the little one is going to grow out of it long before it stands a chance of being worn out.
DeleteYou sure knit a wonderful sweater and in record time. Knitting must be your SuperPower! Wait...CQ is your SuperPower. But Wait...Quilted Landscapes are your SuperPower. Oh Dear You are Amazing! Fun links and I need to get back to organizing The Vault. I do believe every good done no matter the size is very important. <3
ReplyDeleteNot so much record time with knitting - just took time to get the photos posted here. I knit in the evenings and do needlework during the daylight hours.
DeleteThe sweaters are adorable for the kids to share colors!
ReplyDeleteThe colored bottles in the fence is a fantastic idea!
I like the bottle idea - would be fun for school kids to do I think. At least it would keep the empty bottles out of the landfill!
DeleteWow! That is a cute sweater, I think it will look adorable on your grandson.
ReplyDeleteYour new yarn is exciting too, fun planning and projects to keep you busy.
Thanks Janie. I imagine I'll see pictures of him wearing it at some point. New yarn - haven't had any for quite awhile so it was pretty exciting when I opened the box!
DeleteAnother lovely sweater. You sure have been busy.
ReplyDeleteHe has a bit of growing to do for it to fit but I'm sure he'll oblige!
DeleteOooh, I love the colors in this little sweater. And you made that with scrap yarn?!? Gotta love that. And that water bottle/fence artwork is very cool. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, this sweater was made from leftover leftovers. The yarn was leftover and I made our middle grandson the sweater I posted about the other day and then this sweater was made from the leftover of THAT sweater. So does that make it 3xleftover?
DeleteIt make you Knitter Extraordinaire!
DeleteHah - I wish!
