A tree!
I'm working on the tree at the moment....
Your quote of the day..."Don't be afraid to start over. This time you're not starting from scratch, you're starting from experience"
Julierose, I wondered about the textured effect, too! Hard to tell from peering at your photograph, Ms Magpie! Your pieces must be even more impressive in real life :)
The tree isn't thrilling me - yet. Needs more work! As for the clay hands - I thought the concept was rather fun, but I wouldn't want them in my life because I'd be wondering where the rest of the person was!
Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
And a beautiful tree it is--it looks dimensional...nice addition...hugs Julierose
ReplyDeleteI guess it's somewhat dimensional because it's made up of teeny tiny little pieces of fabric and not all the edges are stitched down 100%.
DeleteYour church looks divine. Lovely tree to add to the landscape. Thank you for the fun links. Stay well dear...<3
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry. The tree was fun to make, although it needs some more work yet. It's too pristine!

ReplyDeleteYes, I guess photos don't tell the true tale do they. The tree is quite textural in real life.
DeleteGorgeous tree!
ReplyDeleteThe red clay hands link, nice art, but feels sort of creepy.

ReplyDeleteWonderful tree. The scene beckons one to come check out the church.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be fun to see inside?
DeleteI like the addition of the tree Mary Anne. It's looking very pretty. Christine xx
ReplyDeleteThe tree still needs work - not sure how/what but it needs something else. It's too pristine!
DeleteLandscape looking good. The tree will 'grow' on you as you continue to work on it and the rest of the piece.
ReplyDeleteDid some more with the tree today and it's looking much better (at least in my eyes anyway). Now it's on to the embroidery part of it.
