I Got Mail!!!

Last week there were some surprises that arrived in my mailbox and I wanted to show them to you...

My camera isn't happy about taking pictures this close,
but the first surprise was a wonderful hand-painted
button in my favourite theme!
The details are incredible and I thank Gerry Krueger
so much for making this little treasure and
letting me give it a home.
Thanks Gerry!

The other thing that arrived in my
mailbox was a lovely little
book - from the creative fingers
of Liz (also known as Boud).

She used a commercial card for the
cover and inside I discovered some of
her handmade onion-skin paper!
UPDATED TO ADD:
the lovely card was from a
woodblock print created by
Hajime Namiki

Thank you Liz!

- If you have little ones in your life, perhaps THESE might be fun for them.  Would make great pillows too!

- There's a great chart and tips HERE for watering your houseplants.

- THIS looks like something fun to crochet - and could be used in many different applications.

- Have a peek at the eye candy from THIS artist!  She does many different installation and art pieces.

- There are a number of great slipper patterns HERE.

Today your quote is from Karen Salmonsohn...."The older I get the more I realize the importance of walking away from people and situations which threaten my peace of mind, self-respect, values and self worth"

    1. Definitely lucky! It's such fun to go to the mailbox and discover a mystery envelope and know there' something special inside. SO much better than flyers and bills!

  3. Gerry’s buttons are always so amazing and this one is perfect for you dear. Love the knitted slipper variations. The older I get the more I actually put this quote into practice. Happy Spring as we are having more rain.

    1. Gerry's buttons are indeed amazing - all the little details that I know don't show in my photo totally blow me away. And to think she has problems with her eyesight just makes it all the more amazing.
