Yes, there IS something creative happening here!

Something DID happen on the creative front here and I finished knitting this wee baby toy!

This used up some stash yarn and is the Knubbelchen pattern found on Ravelry.  Right now I'm working on its twin - just because I think there's enough yarn left on the ball and I might as well use it up!

And....the final creation from the kitchen here at Chez Magpie - homemade chocolates.  They don't look as pretty as the store-bought versions, but they sure do taste good!

UPDATED TO ADD:  Look at what just arrived at our door!!!....

๐Ÿ’–Thank you Shawn, Winnie and Theo!!!๐Ÿ’–

Today your quote is from Steve Maraboli...."Want to keep Christ in Christmas?  Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, forgive the guilty, welcome the unwanted, care for the ill, love your enemies, and do unto others as you would have done unto you"

    1. I've made several of these and they always seem to be loved by the babies, so I guess I'll continue making them for every new baby that comes along.

  2. oooh... pretty a pretty Christmas arrangement. How sweet! And those chocolates look yummy to me. Curious what you've got in them. :) And what a sweet little knitted baby toy. I tried translating Knubbelchen into English and didn't get anything. Curious about that now, too. :) Okay... now I'm looking up your potato soup recipe as I'm headed to the store and want to make sure I have what I need to make it. I'll let you know how it goes!

    1. The chocolates have a mixture of peanut butter, chopped pecans, icing sugar & coconut as their 'innards' - very yummy! And, of course, because it's quite important, there isn't a calorie to them. Particularly if you only eat them on days that end with 'y'. Hope you enjoy the soup!

  10. I love your little knitted baby doll. I looked up the pattern and Oy Vey...it is far beyond my skills. Your chocolates look yummy. I am making the very fast and lazy “Frosting Fudge”. I used to slave over the stove every year making 20 pounds of “Sees” Fudge and giving it to every factory and co-worker. Those were the days! Lovely flowers for your decor. Excellent quote once again. Merry Christmas Dear...xo

    1. Twenty pounds of fudge - oh my. I simply can't imagine how much work that was!! I'll bet it was worth the effort though. Our chocolates ARE yummy - and unfortunately the Resident Chef doubled the recipe so there would be some left over and now I'm absolutely honor bound to eat them. It's my duty. Isn't it?
