Happy 2019 - and the year that was

Many bloggers are doing a little look back at the year that was and highlighting some of their projects, so I thought I'd join in.  Pictures only - no commentary!  Enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE:  I'm giving you a head's up now so that you can be ready for a slight change that will be happening here at Chez Magpie beginning tomorrow.  More and more of your comments are not arriving in my email inbox for me to respond to, so....as so many others seem to be doing.....I will be changing my method of responding.  Effective tomorrow I will change ALL my responses to your comments to  the blog itself, which will mean you will have to remember to check the previous post to see my responses.  If there is anything more in-depth, I will continue to email you as previously.  Hope this doesn't upset anyone too much!!

Today's quote is from Oprah Winfrey...."Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right"

  5. For someone that says they can't make quilts, I see amazing work with these barn quilts. Wow! And your fiber work is incredible. Thanks for the review. I'll be waiting for you response "rite chere" as we say in Kentucky.

    1. Landscapes are different from 'sane' quilts - at least in my mind! Having to match points and have even seams is definitely not my forte. I'll stick to landscapes and crazy quilts where there aren't so many rules! Happy New Year!

    1. And a very happy new year to you too Christine! It's fun to put a lot of the things I did over the past year into one post - there were a lot more things, but this was a good representation.

  8. Love seeing your completed quilted pictures again, Mary Anne. I've been missing watching one come together. Will there be more in 2019? Happy New Year!

    1. Oh yes there will be barns - and houses - and churches ( I hope!). I am champing at the bit to get started, but there's a sewing space that's in a state of shambles that needs to be addressed before I am allowing myself to start on what I REALLY want to do!!! Happy new year to you too!

    1. I love the barns too and can't wait to get back to making more. Must admit though that DH and I both miss having that silly donkey sitting on our dresser now that he's gone to live with our grandson.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
