Here is some proof that something else other than working on barns happens here at Chez Magpie...

Our littlest 'grand' is currently in like with Paw Patrol and his favourite character happens to be 'Chase'.  I stumbled across this pattern and of course it had his name on it in glowing neon so what's a grandma to do?  The pattern is HERE  (there are several other characters that come with the pattern) and I used Paton's Astra yarn.  If you embiggen the picture hopefully you can see the amazing buttons I found - they came all the way from Ireland!

(just realized that you can't embiggen the picture, so here's a better one of the buttons)

- Have a look at the incredible array of themed quilt blocks available on THIS site.  So much fun for kids!!  Just check through all the categories at the top.

- And there are tons of interesting quilting resources available HERE.

- If you have a special hankie in your collection, perhaps you might like to use it to make one of THESE for your Christmas tree.

- Have a look at the amazing work done by THIS artist and look at what she uses to create with!

- And while you're looking at amazing work, check out what THIS artist does!

- THESE would make a nice addition to your fall decor.

- Here is your laugh for the day....I've watched it twice and laughed til I cried both times.  Have a look HERE.  Make sure your sound is on!

    1. Thank you! I think it's rather cute - hopefully he'll think so too.

  2. You are so talented to whip up a sweater. Of course Mr. G & I love the colors. Same as University of KY in nearby Lexington. The Victorian Quilters website is a GREAT resource. Thank-you. Yes, laughter is contagious. I had to share it on further to my FB friends. Thanks for the good belly laugh.

    1. I think that's one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. I went to our local bookstore today to try to order a copy of the book and it's being re-published - wonder if it's on the strength of that video alone?!

  5. Congratulations on a fine finish!
It's beautiful work and your little grandson will love it!
My grandson too, enjoys Paw Patrol.

  6. So adorable, I'm sure he'll wear it proudly!

  7. You knit too! Of course, I knew you did, but still... I'm amazed at your talents. The sweater is wonderful. And those buttons - awesome. What a great find.

    1. Yes I knit - but not very well. I can manage a simple project and this sweater is about the limit of my abilities. I can't imagine how people knit with all sorts of colours and don't end up throwing themselves off the nearest bridge.

  8. There will be another very happy grandson who receives this great jacket.
I searched for the Wonky Donky book but came across this link to the same book. Author's permission was received..well worth watching.

  9. That is such a cute Labor of Love!! Of course I went off and got lost in your links, AGAIN!!
    xx, Carol
