Nothing to

I haven't shared a recipe with you for awhile so how about this quick and easy one...

1 large can EACH navy white beans & favo beans*

1 lb. hamburger

1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 c. BBQ sauce
2 T. soy sauce
1 tsp. EACH salt & pepper
Sauté beef with onion & garlic; drain.  Combine
with remaining ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes.
Serve over rice.

·         Use any combination of beans you prefer

- I stumbled on the work of THIS artist and thought you might like to explore her gallery.  I especially love her lace and wood pieces.

- THIS pattern was created for beading, but I think it would be perfect for stitching too.

- There is a pretty cowl pattern made with lace-weight yarn HERE.  It's a really pretty pattern and it appears you would get at least two out of one ball of yarn.  Perhaps one for you and one for a gift?

- THIS is one of those handy things that would be great as a stash buster (and would make a nice gift)

- If you would like to learn different knitting stitches AND stash bust at the same time, perhaps you'd like to make one of THESE

- HERE is another great stash buster that creates something really useful.  And THIS is another useful thing, as is THIS.

Your quote of the day..."Fear has two meanings - Forget Everything and Run OR Face Everything and Rise.  The choice is yours!"

  1. Holy Cow!! That sounds SO good! I've made my mom's recipe for many years and it's always a hit. It's similar but the pineapple -- OH THAT SOUNDS WONDERFUL!! I am definitely going to try this and it may be very soon! I LOVE the little first-aid kit and hope to make that as well!

Hi Karen thankyou for the recipe and links, hope you have a lovely day my friend xx

  3. Yum to your recipe. Sounds like good comfort food for a cold Winter’s night. Lots of great links you are sharing. Interesting Fear choices. <3

  4. I love that artist gallery you shared. Great links!

  5. This recipe has me intrigued! It sounds tasty. Your links have me wishing I could knit (though, I'm not sure which craft I would give up to find the time - lol!) And I love your quote. I think I prefer the Face Everything and Rise. :)

  6. Love the cute first aid kit. Be fun to make some of those for pressies! Karen, Hannah and Baa. xxx

  7. That recipe does sound delicious for a cold winter evening, thanks for sharing.
I think the beaded friendship bracelet could easily be done in cross stitch. I like the
    butterfly and ladybug version too.
The quote is good. Sometimes I don't have the strength to rise in the face of a storm but
hanging in there is also an option.

  8. recipe? another weird fact about me....I don't like being in the kitchen. I only have a kitchen because it came with the house.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
