Hats x 3

Over the past week or so I've been spending my evenings with my knitting needles in hand and have churned out these three hats (all of which will be going in the Christmas present box)....

More stash reduction!  Made with Paton's Canadiana yarn - Pattern is the Sandoval Hat and can be found HERE.  The grey hat will end up being accompanied by a pair of fingerless gloves and a masculine cowl.  Details will follow as I get them done!

- For some reason I have always been a fan of Eeyore - going against the more popular Winnie the Pooh and Piglet - and I just discovered THIS cute pattern.  I want one!!

- Another household hint that really does work - if you have copper pans and the copper is looking grungy, mix up a paste of vinegar, salt and enough flour to make a paste.  Rub it on and let it sit for maybe 15 mins.  Keep rubbing and watch the magic happen!

- And further in the household hints department, check out some of the great ideas found HERE.  Be sure to scroll down!

- If you'd like to use up some scrap fabrics and your table looks a little bare, perhaps one of THESE might be just the ticket.  And HERE is a really cute tote bag pattern that might be welcomed by someone on your Christmas list.  And if you have a baby arriving, perhaps making one of THESE might be fun.

Today your quote is from Nelson Mandela...."No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion.  People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite"

Finally, but most importantly, our thoughts and prayers remain with the people affected by Hurricane Harvey.

  1. Hi MA, thanks for the links. I've been thinking of what I might do to use up somescraps...well, actually I have yards to use up...but I really like the tote! My Embroidery for Crazy Quilting class is tomorrow and your blog is in my resource list! Thanks for the help while I was in the planning stages.

  2. Great work on the hats. They look perfect for winter.
That tip about renewing copper on pans works, I've done it before.
Thanks for the tips, fun to check out.

  3. 3 cool hats! Been watching the news and praying for Houston

  4. How true this quote is. Those needles are whipping up oodles of pretties, aren't they. Sweet hats. I too, rather love Eeyore. He always seems to have the sweetest expression.

  5. OMG MA!! You've made so many things lately!!! Wow!

  6. Perfect caps for winter - I hate the thought! Warm heads for someone. I spent some time looking down through the links. Thanks

  7. I know it's cold in Canada but how many hats do you need lol.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
