A whole 'nother type of white

This is what we woke up to this morning...

This was what our balcony looked like early this morning.
Above the birdfeeder, beneath about a foot of snow, is
actually a plastic dome that is supposed to discourage
squirrels.  We have never seen it covered in snow
to this depth before.
If you look down beneath the feeder, the second white
blob is our car.

Below is a picture, taken through the screen, of
only some of the mourning doves that were
patiently waiting their turn at the feeder.
If you embiggen the picture, you should be
able to see Jack down in the parking lot
trying to shovel out at least 15" of snow from
around our car.

Yeah, have I mentioned before how much I hate winter????

Today the quote is from Kin Hubbard.... "Don't knock the weather;  nine-tenths of the people couldn't start a conversation if it didn't change once in a while"

  3. Holy CAT!! The Lake Effect snow in my area has so far gone about 20 miles north of us...I'm so happy that we missed two blasts so far. But we are under an advisory until mid Friday. Then warmer and rain forecast for Saturday and Sunday. It's going to be another one of those winters.

    Stay warm and be well.
