Finished purse - and exciting news!!

The purse is done!

The purse is done!

Let the bells ring out,

The purse is done!

And here is proof...

(the front)

(and the back)

The pattern is 'The Gadabout'

The only change I made to the pattern was to add an additional pocket
on the back.

Hopefully you aren't TOO bored with purses because
I'm planning to do another design
from Studio Kat.
Stay tuned!!

the exciting news is this...

You all know what a huge fan I am of Karen Ruane and
her exquisite embroidery.
Well, she is on the brink of starting
a new online class!

Go HERE for further information.  I don't think she is open
for registration quite yet, but I'll let you know when she is.

This one is called 'Simply Stitch 3' and will mainly be a stitch-along with Karen with the addition of work in a ledger book.  It sounds like too much fun to miss so I'm there....needle at the ready....

ps....if you want to check out what I did in the previous classes I've taken with Karen, click on the 'White' ' label in my side bar.

  2. Its wonderful! Id say that was a job well done gal!

  3. The purse is gorgeous. Loe the colors with the denim. I can always look at a nice purse - keep on going.

I haven't nmissed a class with Karen yet so will be seeing you there.

  4. I love the purse! Its great. For the record, I never get tired of looking at embellished purses.
    xx, Carol

  5. What a great looking bag. Thanks for the info about Karen's class.

  6. Oh what a thing of you get lots of compliments from strangers even if you take it out and about :)

  7. The purse is beautiful and I look forward to the next one!

  8. Great bag! One day I'll be able to take one of Karen's classes.

  9. That purse looks great! Well done.
I have visitors for another month yet, so no classes for me....boohoo! Maybe Stitch 4?

  10. Congrats on the bag! It looks great!!! Is this one for you, or another commission? As for the class, I'm envious. Perhaps I'll sign up one of these days. Of course, I could use up all those lovely linen napkins and crochet and tatted bits I got for a steal last weekend at a street sale. Aren't you jealous?

  11. Good for you doing Karen's next class .... I just finished my second pin pillow which I learned to do in her Simply Stitch class ...the first class for that ... still am also working on my blocks for putting together a wrapping cloth...eventually....but, as we know ..... embroidery and embellishment takes quite a long time... so that won't be happening anytime soon....the little tiny cushions on the other hand ...are tiny and can come together a bit quicker.... I love them!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
