Over the weekend I managed to finish the latest landscape quilt....
SOLD!
This one is a fairly local barn and caught my eye because of the 'L-shape'. I'm sure there's a proper name for it, but I don't know what it is. This one is for sale if anyone is interested!
Your latest piece is fabulous. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Now this one is finished I'm anxious to start on the next one on my list, but I have to take a bit of time 'off' to work on another project first.
DeleteOh dear.. now I have to make paper boats for my tiny dolls. Except why not paper biplanes for them...or both. A fleet and a flight.
ReplyDeleteThis is all your doing.. wondering if boats are in the cqteers future.
Hee hee - so sorry that I'm such an enabler! Good thing I'm used to being blamed.....
DeleteBeautiful finish, Mary Ann!
ReplyDeleteAnd the hot pad and apron links are great ideas for Christmas gifts, thanks.
Lovely quote, those those are the best teachers.
Thanks Janie...it was another fun one to work on. I don't know that many people who use aprons these days (although most of us should!!), but I liked that design.
DeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki!
DeleteHi Maryanne its stunning my friend, well done and thankyou for the links, hope your day is a good one my friend xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheryl. I like that this one is a local barn....there aren't too many around here.
DeleteVery interesting L-shaped Barn and your Landscape/Barnscape is gorgeous! I Love it dear. What a wonderful paper boat. Good Quote and reminds me of “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish and he eats for life.” I do not know the author but my husband repeats it often.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to attempt an L-shape for a change. There are so many interesting barns out there! I've heard the fish quote often too - my DH is a fisherman (or was when he was younger) and so that quote was very apt.
Deletefabulous work Mary Anne...so much beautiful detail.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think you and I are alike in that we both love what we do.
DeleteWhat a fabulous finish and such a lovely barn! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice barn and still in use by all appearances. Sad to see so many of them being allowed to fall into ruin.
DeleteJust gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirlee! Can't wait to start another one now.
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing another masterpiece. I might add to your quote today .. a good teacher also makes them ask and want to look for the answer.
ReplyDeleteGreat addition to the quote Joy - thank you!
DeleteLove your latest finish. Especially like the flowers cascading out of the frame
ReplyDeleteDid you see the bunnies peeking out fo the flowers?
DeleteI'm so glad I went digging on your blog... I knew I had missed seeing this finish. I'm in awe over the detail in this, Mary Anne. The rolling hills of grass - perfection. And the fabric flowers and bunny! And the other wild things growing! And the fences! The trees... sigh. The people who buy these works of art must sit and admire them for hours.
ReplyDeleteThere are actually two bunnies - you missed one? As for purchasers - don't I wish! Sales are few and far between unfortunately.
DeleteI had to go look for the second bunny. I found it there poking it's head above the flowers. Cute! I'm sure I would have seen it if I was studying this in person. And you can bet I'd be studying it. ;^)
Deletehee hee - glad you found it!
DeleteCongratulations on this latest piece!
ReplyDeleteThank you Judy! I had fun making it (but then again, I always do!)
DeleteOh, well done Mary Anne! It’s fabulous! Love the cute bunnies!
ReplyDeleteLove the apron, won’t make one, I’d never wear it, or would I ??????
Love Ann’s boats too! I’ve been resisting that one!
But oh, that pumpkin, it’s gorgeous!
Hugs,
Barbara xx
I don't wear aprons either (but then again, Resident Chef does all the cooking so I don't have to!).
