More mumblings

- Modem - check
- Phone - check
- TV Remote - check
Photos - check
- Netflix - hmmm - working on it

After much flexing of this creaky old bod, I managed to get the new modem installed.  There was a lot of crawling about on the floor involved in order to accomplish the feat, but perhaps the biggest feat of all was getting UP off the floor!!!  Oh....and the battle with dust bunnies was epic.

Am considering a new career in technology....
any takers?

There are no pictures today.  Several days of wrestling with technology have put me behind in my creating.  Yesterday I did add some stitching to the treeline in the landscape, but  a picture looks pretty much like it did before.  So, instead of that...how about this...

Today's quote...another from an anonymous source..."People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; forgive them anyway.  If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.  If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway.  If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.  What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;  build anyway.  If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway.  The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.  Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you've got anyway.  You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway"

  1. Yep, 'the older you get' quote sums it up perfectly, doesn't it. You are a techno whiz, Mary Anne. I did laugh with your description of getting up from the floor. It's a major feat for me also, these days. Great links; the denim rug is cool. Fabulous quote, too. Tell me.....did you look into the free photo apps that you were inquiring about? I too am in the process of looking for a new one. Have a great day.

    1. Sometimes Maxine just hits a chord doesn't she. Haven't looked into the photo apps as yet - my problem sorted itself (with much juggling on my part) so I'm postponing what will likely be the inevitable.

  3. Computers are the one thing that can bring so many of us to our news - literally and figuratively. I admire anyone who is willing to persevere to get things up and running!

    1. Glad you enjoyed Maxine - she often makes me laugh and this one seemed appropriate at the moment. And glad you liked the quote too - they are indeed words to live by.

    1. I'm pretty impressed with myself I must say - never thought I would figure it out on my own but didn't know who I could call. The cable provider would have sent somebody to do the modem but when I requested the it I was told it was really easy and idiot proof. Well...not so much....but I did it (and saved $20 because they didn't have to send a tech...yay for me!).

  7. why does it always involve crawling on the floor? It's the same here...the wires are so short it's almost as if there is a worldwide shortage!! Not to mention the fact they are always in the most awkward place possible

    1. For sure! The cable that needed to go through the wall was a good two feet shorter than the old one and just barely reached. I suppose it's a good thing not to have so much excess lying about, but it's still a pain to deal with.
