Temari ball

 Today I was given this beautiful temari ball.  I don't know if the pictures do it complete justice, but hopefully you can see the details.  It's amazing that the ball is wound with something as small as sewing thread and then embroidered with the design.  The design thread in this case is metallic.

    I love these balls. I bought a book to learn how, but have never made one. The precision of them is so neat.

  5. OOOOOhhh you lucky duck! This is lovely! I've dabbled in creating a few of these myself over the years & let me tell ya ... they are very labour intensive ... but worth every second for the end result! I know you will cherish this!
