I stumbled across a fun blogging game and it's something I absolutely HAVE to take part in!
Do you have a spare glass jar?
How about some ORT's?
WHAT? You mean you don't know what ORT's are??
Tsk, tsk!
ORT's are those pesky little bits of 'Old Ratty Threads'
you end up with when you're sewing.
You know the ones...the clippings, the throwaways.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE PART IN A
TOTALLY USELESS STITCH-A-LONG?

MA, I didn't realize I was so behind on reading blogs. I am going to check out some of the links you left on previous posts. Your DIL is a beautiful young lady and her cake looks yummy! I had never heard of ORTs and here it is again! Thanks for giving me the tip. I'm going visiting now! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have a jar full of thread snippets....it is so very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteDang, I just cleared up a ton of little leftover bits after my penguin yesterday! Been wondering for years if there was any use to them at all. Now I know their use is that they're useless!
ReplyDeleteI've had a jar of orts for years, just didn't have a name for it,LOL. I kept it in the center of my sewing table because it was pretty. I add all end pieces of threads, silk ribbon and lace then use it to make fabric or in felting projects.
