Three forward, four back, seven forward

Yep, that's what I've been counting lately.  Wanna see why??

What's that, you say?

well, it's the beaded edge of the wedding veil
for our next d-i-l-to-be.

The 3 forward, 4 back, 7 forward title of this post refers to the
way I beaded it.

The hair piece part looks like this at the moment...

The bride will decide next week if she would like beading on this part too or whether she prefers the more understated look.

June 25th is 'THE DAY"
just hope it doesn't rain!!
p.s. - don't forget to enter my giveaway a couple of posts down.  There's a doll looking for a new home and maybe she might like to come and live with you.  Be sure to leave a comment on THAT post for a chance to win!!

  1. looks lovely so far but for your sake i hope she goes for the understated elegant look.
i thought it was lucky if it rains on your wedding day?

  2. Okay, the thought of beading and veil in the same place makes my eyes cross big time!!!
Good luck my dear....may the force be with you!

  3. Such lucky daughters in law to have a MIL that creates beautiful things for them. I'm sure the wedding will be lovely...and no rain!

  5. all that beading!! I am sooooo impressed!!

  6. I'd love to hear more about the veil and what she chooses...I've been working with tulle lately but in minature so I'm using the tiniest bits of it unlike you. But I have dreams one day of making pieces for my nieces weddings...I just put on my calendar to pray that it doesn't rain on the 25th.

  7. Fingers, eyes, legs, crossed for good weather (and beads?).

  8. another wedding, what a summer. and how super that you are beading the veil

  9. lovely, lucky d-i-l.

  10. what a happy time and working on the veil must be so nice too!

Brightest of Blessings to all and happy weekend too!

  11. Sister Magpie, you really are the perfect MIL! What a wonderful gift and heirloom you are making.
Rain, rain go away, come again, another day and not the 25th.

  12. Shoulda named the post "Going Blind". Hee hee. Is there somewhere you can sew a tiny tag saying who made the veil and when so those it's passed down to know? Great heirloom piece!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
