Announcement

Not much to show you in the way of pictures today, although I did finish sewing all those multitude of strips together for 'The QuiltS'.  So, instead of pictures, I'm sending you to other places that you might find of interest.

1.  If you do much exploring about on the internet you will most likely have come across a number of bloggers that have been taking part in the wonderful (and FREE!!) online crazy quilt classes being offered by Kathy Shaw.  There has been some pretty incredible works being shown that have been done as a result of her classes and I must admit that my curiosity has grown to the point where I've been waiting quite excitedly to sign up for her next beginners class.  Well, online registration is open as of right now (but you need to hurry...registrations close as of midnight March 22nd!!).  Go HERE for further information and to sign up to play along with me!!

2.  I stumbled across a beautiful piece of work on etsy the other day and thought you might enjoy seeing it too.  Go HERE.   Not free, but oooooooh......

3. I also came across a beautiful paper-pieced quilt pattern (also free)   http://theinboxjaunt.com/2015/03/11/the-great-horned-owl-free-paper-piecing-pattern/     I'd love to own one of these, but can you imagine the number of colours of fabric you'd need?

Today's quote is from Winston Churchill...."We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give"

Hi Mary-Anne
It is always a pleasure to wander over to see your latest mumblings. Looks like you have been busy, I was admiring your knitting for your Grandson a few posts back as well!
That squirrel enjoying the coffee cup is perfect and don't you just love Winston Churchill's quotes! I can tell you are a giver too!
Have a brill week and thanks for popping over to my place!
Wren x

Way to go! Sewing those strips together is a huge accomplishment. I also happen to think the sweater you knitted (and shared in your previous post) is adorable. That quilt block pattern on Etsy is gorgeous (and intimidating to me - lol!) I just love the paper-pieced owl, too. So fun!
