In the ongoing effort to use up some yarn 'bits', another hat for donation (and I STILL have enough of those colours to make at least one more!)....
- THIS might be fun to make for your spring decor.
- I thought THIS was pretty but I don't think I'd put the buttons on it.
- I know there are lots of needlebook designs out there, but THIS one caught my eye.
Your quote of the day.... Donna shared this on her blog last week and I had to pass it along to you...

cool hat! someone is gonna have a fashionably warm head for your efforts, and that is more than enough.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to wait to donate them until fall but that's okay - who knows, I might get even more done by then.
DeleteI love your stripey cap! You must be working through your 't'overs collection of yarns at a highly satisfying rate :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that crocheted cover-up (t-shirt??) is very pretty. I think I'd like the sleeves to cover my elbows, whatever you call that length...mid-forearm?
Sadly the drawer of leftover yarns isn't lowering very much, despite my best efforts.
DeleteI've heard those sleeves called 3/4-length, but perhaps there's another name.
Beautiful MA! I have a lot of my mom's yarn. I don't really crochet or knit. I just like craft supplies. I do crochet some little edgings for my door hangers using fancy fuzzy yarn but that's all I do. The fancy yarn hides the fact that my crocheting is never really perfect. I can't seem to keep the tension consistent. But that's okay. For what I do, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam! Just a little note - trying to get even tension with fuzzy yarn is pretty much impossible to do so you're not alone.
DeleteThank you for the quote of the day. I needed this! Laura
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a really good quote so I simply had to share.
DeleteI love your hat, it looks warm and pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt will go in the pile for donating in the fall. I still have enough yarn in this colourway to make another hat so I'm not making much of a dent in the stash.
DeleteOh this is a really pretty hat--nice work on this one ;)))...I still do miss being able to knit...
ReplyDeleteSpent the day color coding the page edges with washi tape.for my new Color Gluebook--4 pages for each color of the rainbow...very relaxing work...
Hugs, Julierose;)))
It's a pretty simple hat pattern so easy to churn them out without much thought beyond trying to use up yarn. Not sure how much longer I'll be able to knit either - between 'arthur' and now what appears to be carpel tunnel, my days might be numbered.
DeleteI like the encouraging quotation today. Yes.
ReplyDeleteI did too, so I had to pass it along.
DeleteIsn't it wonderful to be able to use up bits and bobs, as well as orphan balls of yarn? However if you are like me, more seems to appear magically.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I just finished another hat tonight and finally used up the gold, black and orange....but I still have some of the rusty red left. I agree - it never seems to get used up.
