First of all, I have to show you this so you too can marvel at what must go through some people's minds (and no, I'm not talking about the orange idiot!). I bought three balls of Premier Fruits sock yarn in the watermelon colourway and it came in a plastic bag sporting this label....
๐๐๐ I've heard of some pretty strange diets but this one takes the cake! |
And, to explain the slivers designation in the title of this post, I spent most of an entire day cutting little slivers of fabrics to end up creating the trees I added to the landscape. I'm not sure you can tell from this picture though, but trust me, they're there.
- Becki showed her very first Manx block on her blog and, because I'd never heard of it before, I had to check it out further. You can go HERE to read more and see how it's done. Becki also provided further links in her post if you'd like to explore the technique more.
- THIS is for those who like to knit hats.
- THESE look like they'd be fun (albeit somewhat messy!) to make.
Today's quote is an African proverb..."A wise man fills his brain before emptying his mouth"
love those trees - they look spooky!
ReplyDeleteYay - that was what I was aiming for!
DeleteDefinitely a weird label--;))) I do not see those slivers yet--but then my olde eyes aren't what they used to be either--i am sure they are there...;))) hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThe label made me laugh and so I had to share. Trust me the slivers are there. I'll try to get a better picture to share next time.
DeleteThat's a literal minded computer label! I remember miniatures and making all kinds of things with bottle caps! Never allowed anyone to throw them away. And the plastic supports in pizza boxes, dollhouse tables!
ReplyDeleteDollhouse tables for sure! I really wish I had space here to do a dollhouse because I love miniatures but I can't get into a whole other type of stash.
DeleteI love the Manx quilting, I may start one this Winter. Despite being from the UK, I have not been to the Isle Of Man. I also may talk about this on my blog, as I am in the middle of a project I want to talk about at some point. Love your Halloween picture it's stunning.
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of Manx quilting before and it does look like fun. I think it's somewhat similar to Kawandi but looks more like log cabin.
