Helpless

Well, over the weekend my credit card was smokin' hot.  And I'm blaming Kim 100%.  It's her fault I am suffering from a powerful hankering to make another fusion quilt.  She twisted my arm and twisted my arm til it nigh near broke and now this is on the way...
It's Nantucket Summer by Camille Roskelley.

Plans are afoot to repaint our living room, hallway and kitchen once the weather cools down and I'm looking at a lovely soft sage green (not sure about the kitchen just yet).  Blue just happens to be my favourite colour and this collection marries the two colours together.
Some would say it was meant to be.
(if you want to see what's started all the fuss here
at Chez Magpie, go to Kim's post HERE).

- If I had the space, I would absolutely LOVE to make a dollhouse using THESE techniques!  It would tie in so beautifully with the landscapes I like to create.

- THESE would be really cute for fall

- Thank you to Jocelyn for pointing me towards THIS free resource (strongly suggest a pot of coffee and some bread crumbs before you go there!).

- Have a peek through the galleries of THIS talented artist.

Today's quote..."The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but what dies inside while we live"

  1. Oh I can see why you went down that Fusion "rabbit hole"!! ;))0
Isn't Kim's fusion quilt just gorgeous? [Does Kim even realize that she
    has become an enabler hahaha?]
I must admit I am powerfully tempted myself. ;0000
Good luck with this project--nice choice of fabrics,,,
I am looking forward to seeing how your blocks evolve...

    1. Oh yes, Kim is well aware that she's an enabler because I've told her that I'm fully blaming her for the state of my credit card balance. I was doing well at not falling down the rabbit hole until I saw this particular collection of fabrics that nicely marries my love of blue AND the green that we are hoping to use for the paint.

  2. I've been thinking of a fusion project since Marion did some, and now maybe I'll pull out those little pinloom woven squares and linen squares and make something from them. Thanks for the reminder. Good luck on the painting. Are you doing it yourselves?

    1. Ahhh....I feel better now. At least I can gloat over being an enabler for someone else. As for the painting, we contemplated doing it ourselves and then realized that our bodies are balking too much (just the thought of getting up and down off the floor to do the baseboard cutting in was enough to put me over the edge)...so....putting in calls to painters to get some estimates.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
