The landscape embroidery is taking seemingly forever and there is precious little of interest happening otherwise. So...how about a nod-off-to-sleep-boring photo of the pile of finished mittens?
I know - definitely yawn-worthy!
And what's worse? I'm still making them...
Today's quote..."Replace sorry's with thank you's. Instead of 'sorry I'm late', try 'thank you for waiting on me'. Change your mindset.
I think those mittens are "Warm-Worthy" ;))) hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteHopefully they're warm!
DeleteYarn worthy!
ReplyDeleteLol!
DeleteI like the idea of changing the wording as a new way of framing. This year I replaced the word but with the word and. It's amazing how much happier it sounds. And how often and works just as well as but.
ReplyDeleteSometimes that's all it takes.
DeleteYou've been busy with the mittens Mary Anne! Love your quote for today! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteMittens are rather a no-brainer project that I can accomplish in front of the tv at night. Living in Canada means mittens come in handy!
DeleteWOW—you must be knitting in your sleep to make so many mittens! If you are yawning while making plain mittens, how about embroidering a few for a change of pace? There’s a nice article from July 2017 on KelbourneWoolens.com, although even whipping a few ribs in a contrasting color would add a fun accent & satisfy your itch to embellish.
ReplyDeleteI haven't quite figured out how to create in my sleep, but I probably would if I could! I LOVE your idea for embroidering on them (at least on the women's ones)....thank you! I'll check out that article you referenced for ideas. Thanks for the comment!
DeleteOnly boring in the eye of the beholder?
ReplyDeleteFor sure! I often wonder how I manage to have ANYBODY reading this blog!
DeleteI don't think your many mittens are yawn worthy, but if you do embroider (or otherwise embellish) any, please post pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou can be sure I'll post about it - after all, I need fodder to mumble about!
DeleteMittens as a no brainer seems wildly impressive to me :) I wasn't expecting pumpkin slime here! I love the ideas about changing your sorry...
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend

After you've made half a dozen pairs you sort of get into a groove with making them, hence the no-brainer aspect of the process. Hah hah - the slime was simply too good not to share!
Deleteyour mitten pile is growing! When cold weather arrives it will be warm worthy! Love all the Christmas ornament projects and the pumpkin slime reminds me of some of the entries in our hospital yearly pumpkin carving contest!
ReplyDeleteYes the pile is certainly growing. Good for sitting in front of the tv in the evenings.
DeletePiles of mittens- nice. My sister's the knitter of mittens in our family. I prefer to do hand embroidery.
ReplyDeleteI don't knit fancy mittens - that's beyond my level of either capability OR interest. Thought fleetingly about doing some with stripes and then remembered the hassle of working in the ends and promptly scuttled THAT idea.
DeleteOk, those pile of mittens are impressive and not boring!! If I could knit mittens I would be announcing it everywhere on the internet.... but I can't, so I will enjoy yours instead :) Thanks for sharing the QAL! xx
ReplyDeleteNot a whole lot that's impressive about the mittens - it's a plain pattern. But I suppose if you don't knit it might be a different matter. (and you're welcome!)
