Today's quote is from Frank Tyger..."Be a good listener.  Your ears will never get you in trouble"

  1. I always use old coffee grounds and tea leaves around my outdoor plants. I find that roses really thrive for some reason.

    1. I'm wondering if it would work for houseplants - we've had an influx of little tiny fliers (not as big as fruit flies) and I've been spraying the plant dirt with a soap/water solution, but it's not getting totally rid of them.

  2. If they're whitefly you will do better by dabbing on alcohol on a qtip around the base and underside of the leaves.

I chuck all my coffee grounds and tealeaves around my one azalea and my one climbing rose. Theu like the acid,
If I had hollies, they'd like it too.

    1. Don't think they're whiteflies- these are little dark coloured flies and we find them all over the place once they hatch. At first I thought they were fruit flies and put out my usual little bowls of apple cider vinegar but they show no interest.

    2. Wow, the wall art, first link, is fantastic.
I jewel small vases, but that art is a higher level.

    3. There are some utterly amazing artists out there and it never ceases to amaze me what they use as raw materials....this one was a great case in point.

    1. Guessing is good! I kinda know what they're going to become, but it's fun to see what ideas other people may have.
