Proud moment!

Over the weekend one of my crazy quilt students sent me pictures of her completed hussif.  I am a very proud teacher to think that I had even a little part in the creation of this...

Way to go Chrissie!!  It looks wonderful!

Today's quote is from Andy Rooney... "The two biggest sellers in any bookstore are the cookbooks and the diet books.  The cookbooks tell you how to prepare the food and the diet books tell you how not to eat any of it"

  1. LOL I can "hear" Andy Rooney saying that!

What a wonderful crazy quilt creation and you should feel proud to have taught and inspired people in that direction...

  2. Yes, you have a perfect right to be proud of your student for this. It is gorgeous, stunning, and inspirational. I think it's time for me to get a hussif in my life.

  3. That is so lovely. You should both be very proud and happy, great work.

  4. Sweet work!!! And love the quote. But, I scrolled down and viewed your darling Logan. Now THAT is even more sweet.

  5. oh yes....a very good teacher indeed. This is fabulous.

  6. By the looks of it Chrissie was a star pupil - you have every right to be very proud MA!
Beautiful work, I love those seams and beading.
It's on my 'buckeet list' to do one day! A shame we are so far apart as I would love you to teach me the finer points of crazy quilting.

  7. A quote for you MA
"A good teacher is like a candle-it consumes itself to light the way for others"

Double congratulations - one for being a great teacher and one for little Logan. Blessings to the lovely little guy!!

  8. Sorry to have been away so puppy here! The CQ piece is beautiful, a student is only as good as the my dear are an excellent teacher! The proof is in this work!!!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
