Today's quote....

footprints in the sand - perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a fun one to create.
DeleteWhen my sisters first emigrated to Canada, they were so impressed with the slogans they saw everywhere: Do it now, while men and materials are available! It became a family meme, seize the day, Canadian style.
ReplyDeleteYes, seize the day - good advice!
DeleteLovely finish on Him and Me;))) Just the most beautiful quilting on this!! Nice work hugs, Julierose

DeleteA wonderful portrait . . . and today's quote is so true.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nann. It was fun to work on (and glad you like the quote)
Deleteyour quote is so so true.... I am guilty of saving things like not wearing fave clothes, or using fave fabrics or threads
ReplyDeleteLeeAnna
I end up saving things too because for sure there's going to be something better to use ''it'' for later on. I'm trying to stop, but it's hard.
DeleteAnother beauty! I love the bottom edge and the quilting that you did in the sky. Those footprints are perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe curve on the bottom edge came about because I wanted to signify that the post and the seagull were in the foreground. Not sure how well I succeeded with that, but at least it's different!
DeleteI love this portrait, it's beautiful and tells a story. I love how you quilted it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Astrid - I really enjoyed working on it.
DeleteThe textures! This is wonderful, Mary Anne. I read your explanation of the bottom edge. It's very interesting looking and the seagull definitely appears to be in the foreground. Another beautiful finish!
