I'm really having fun creating this blanket using sock yarn. It's going to take me awhile but it's mindless knitting and perfect for sitting in front of the tv in the evenings.

- If you like to dabble in watercolours, perhaps some of the ideas HERE might be of interest.
- THIS is a great use for a flannel shirt.

love all those colors!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Every square is pretty much different because the yarn ball doesn't always start in the same place so the colours fall willy nilly. Definitely not boring!
DeleteHow beautiful!!! I also love all those colours!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun watching this evolve, for sure.
DeleteYour little blanket squares are so charming--they are growing fast!! Nice work...;)))
ReplyDeleteThat teabag art is simply amazing!! Such delicate backgrounds to work on...

I think maybe knitting these squares might be a little addictive, at least for now. Each one is different so they're holding my interest.
DeleteMindless knitting is always the best thing for an evening. Love the different colours in those squares.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I rarely choose sock yarns that are plain colours, prefering the multi-versions (primarily because I get bored too easily if I'm working all in one colour), so they are working really well for this project.
DeleteLooking good! You're reminding me, I have a join-as-you-go crochet hexagon blanket I started... was it last year? I may need to set doilies aside and work on that for a while. Or just go back and forth between the two while the weather's warm and the hexi blanket is small.
ReplyDeleteYes, once my blanket gets larger it might be too warm to work on over the summer. We'll see!
