I'm whittling down the pile of fabrics and have three adult-sized pairs of lounge pants sewn up. My stash dive let me down and now I'm awaiting delivery of some drawstring cording before I can truly finish them.
- HERE is a cute idea you might like to use for Christmas giving.
- And THIS is another one.
- THIS is a technique you might like to try.
- If you are a crocheter and need a gift, perhaps THIS might be a good one.
Today's quote is from George Orwell..."The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it"

Sounds lie you have been keeping yourself busy with getting Christmas gifts.

I'm narrowing in on the sewing end of things - next up will be the baking and preserving.
Deleteha ha ha!!! too many unnecessary u's!!!
ReplyDeletehow did George Orwell get so wise? and why, oh why, don't people listen to what he had to say?
Ah, but to us they're necessary (hee hee).
DeleteWhittling is good.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf pattern is pretty on that link. The mug rug makes for a nice addition to a stocking or gift basket.
Always thought I'd like to learn to actually whittle but then I remember how much I value my fingers and give up on that thought.
DeleteI remember when making cross-stitch inserts with ruffles for jar lids was All the Rage. I probably still have some x-stitch pattern leaflets for them, too.
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember those too. I don't think I ever made any though. I generally just rely on some Christmas fabric cut with the pinking sheers.
DeleteYou are certainly quickly getting through the fabric.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The lounge pants are really fast to put together which is one of the reasons I don't mind making them. The grandies pj's will take a lot longer when I get to them.
