Bloomin' hexies!

You can see that I  have finished two of the hexie flowers that I'm making from the jelly roll fabrics I got.  My 'idea' (subject to change of course, because after all I am woman and am allowed to change my mind!) is to finish as many of these flowers as I can get from the 2 jelly rolls and then scatter them onto a king-sized sheet rather willy nilly and then applique them in place.   Not sure how that might look, but will see what happens when I get to that point.

I won't show you the landscape progress today because quite honestly it doesn't look a whole lot different despite the fact that I've spent another entire afternoon adding more embroidered flowers.  Yawn.

- You may enjoy THIS virtual quilt show!  I know I did.  (Scroll down and click on 'Virtual Gallery Tour').

- If you have little girls in your life, perhaps some of THESE patterns/tutorials might catch your fancy.

- Have a look at THIS free quilt pattern - looks rather cute!  And THIS one is great for little kids!  (be patient, it takes a couple minutes to load).

- THIS is a great gardening apron but I can see a ton of other uses.

Today's quote is from Martin Luther King Jr...."In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends"

    1. Yes, there does seem to be a lot of hexies around at the moment or maybe it's because I'm noticing more now that I'm working with them. Either way, they're fun!

    1. I'm enjoying the hexies - at least for now. Don't know how long it will be until I have a 'squirrel!' moment and be off onto something else.
