You can see that I have finished two of the hexie flowers that I'm making from the jelly roll fabrics I got. My 'idea' (subject to change of course, because after all I am woman and am allowed to change my mind!) is to finish as many of these flowers as I can get from the 2 jelly rolls and then scatter them onto a king-sized sheet rather willy nilly and then applique them in place. Not sure how that might look, but will see what happens when I get to that point.
I won't show you the landscape progress today because quite honestly it doesn't look a whole lot different despite the fact that I've spent another entire afternoon adding more embroidered flowers. Yawn.
Today's quote is from Martin Luther King Jr...."In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends"
Your hexagons are so pretty--love the green with purple...we are in the midst of a huge thunder storm and lots of eownpours
ReplyDeletefinally some rain...Julierose ("Singin' in the rain, just singin' in the rain...") ;)))
Yay! So glad you're getting rain Julierose because I know you need it so badly. Hopefully you get enough to do some good!
DeleteHi Maryanne well done on your beautiful hexies ,i think they will look lovely scattered around on a sheet, hope you have a lovely day my friend xx
ReplyDeleteI'm having fun with them anyway and what they will actually end up becoming is a mystery - because I'm bound to change my mind!
DeleteYour hexagons are pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove the gardening apron.
That apron could serve so many more purposes than just gardening I think.
DeleteI've been seeing a lot of hexies lately.....and I added my Wizard of Oz hexie project to the WOOFA challenge....they can be addicting, can't they? Loved the website with the gardening apron....I added my email to their newsletter....thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteYes, there does seem to be a lot of hexies around at the moment or maybe it's because I'm noticing more now that I'm working with them. Either way, they're fun!
DeleteEnjoyed the virtual tour. Lovely time to be working on a hexagon garden. Like a real garden, I'm sure your hexies are ever changing.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the virtual tour - so did I. Yes, every hexie will be different I think (unless I mess up somewhere!).
DeleteLots of hexi stitching. Enjoy. The virtual Tour was interesting. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying the hexies - at least for now. Don't know how long it will be until I have a 'squirrel!' moment and be off onto something else.
DeleteHello Mary Anne, sorry it has been a while since I visited. Excited by your hexie flower idea! Will enjoy waiting to see your progress! Hugs Christine xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Christine! Glad you're back. I'm excited by the hexie idea too but also hopeful I can stick with it and don't lose interest.
