And....there's more!!!

Yes, there's more!  Much more.  Here's some downsizing results for Jan. 8th and 9th (all pictures can be embiggened if you so desire)

A huge pile of paper ephemera and stickers

a recycled denim knitted bag, a small quilt, a  part roll of gift wrap, and a bunch of page protectors

some random Scrabble tiles and a package of mulberry paper scraps
random sequins, glitter, broken jewelry, a mini iron that doesn't have a control, a melting pot

AND....just to prove I've been doing something
else with my time, how about the cuteness
factor of this....

Baby Yoda seems to be all the rage at the moment
and it seems my #2 son wants one (under the guise
that it's for our grandson).
This guy is about 14" high and he's quite heavy.
Pattern is by Allison Hoffman but is no
longer available for purchase.

Today's quote is from Mari Kondo...."When we really delve into the reasons for why we can't let something go, there are only two - an attachment to the past or a fear for the future"

    1. That one caught my eye too Julierose....not that I have any ties to use to make one.

    1. I think so too! Worth all the angst on my arthritic hands.

  3. I have tons of beads that need to be sorted - keep / give away! Lots of stuff I don't really need. Must go have a look. thanks

    1. I know all about beads - I have FAR too many still, even though I did get rid of a lot. I could never even make a dent in my stash in several lifetimes.

  4. Your downsizing is a lot more scenic than mine! Art raw materials are not at all photogenic, though I did offload a bag of papermaking gear today on a young artist, molds, deckles, screening, very good stuff that looks like nothing on earth.

    1. Photogenic is in the eye of the beholder? I'm sure a lot of people are thinking I should get a life and get on with posting about something a whole lot more interesting than my garbage!!

  5. Oh my. You really are on a roll with downsizing. I go in spurts. There is a closet that I need to go through and give a bunch of clothing away. All in good time.

    1. I go in spurts too - this just happened to be a big one. Usually I have the urge to get things sorted out in January so this time I just went with it a little more than I usually do.

    1. Somehow I doubt our grandson will be playing with this one - methinks Daddy will confiscate it. Will be fun to see what happens.

    2. I think it will be like the train set every newborn son gets, that his dad has to set up and you know, just test, to make sure it's working right.

    3. In our house it would have been the mother (me) that would be setting up the train set. I always wanted one when I was a kid.

  7. Baby Yoda is Fabulous! Beautiful work MA. He'll definitely be a well loved buddy for someone to love...small or Big.

You are being quite ruthless with your downsizing. Is there a bottom to your pit of interesting things?

    1. Hah - the bottomless pit could well describe the abode here at Chez Magpie. At least the pit is somewhat reduced now but certainly could get rid of a whole lot more and I don't suppose we'd miss any of it.

  8. More progress decluttering, good for you!
And baby Yoda will be a hit with your grandsons.

    1. Yep - methinks there will be another one of these under creation before long. After all, I DO have two grandsons (and a third on the way!)

  11. Oh wow! Your Baby Yoda is great! Curious, I went on a tangent looking for the reason the pattern is no longer available. I figured it was copyright issues, but it's interesting this pattern was singled out (so far, I guess). Enjoying perusing your crafty cast-offs too. Very fun stuff!

    1. I suspect this one was singled out because it's very realistic to the original. Too bad because I think the pattern would have been a good seller for the designer. Glad you're enjoying seeing my cast offs!!

  12. Your daily declutter is looking akin to my downsizing in preparation of moving into a much smaller house. Excellent work dear! Love your Baby Yoda which does seem to be all the rage. Good Quote today too.

    1. Don't worry, I'm not moving, just suffering from too much stuff in a small area. I'm a master at shoehorning things into a small amount of space but even that space will finally cry 'uncle'.
