Crazy slowly am I going!!
Bloglovin' is doing its best to drive me round the proverbial bend (which some would say doesn't take much). I have been having 'issues' with my feeder for over a week now and it's getting frustrating beyond the extreme. I posted a query about it on their site and my question, although it obviously went through, completely disappeared. Tonight I posted yet again and guess where it showed up? On facebook. Ummmm.....last I checked in my Funk & Wagnall's bloglovin and facebook weren't spelled the same. I haven't changed my settings and have NO clue why they aren't wanting to play nicely.
- I can't mark any of the blogs as being read (once I've done so) - that's beyond annoying because I end up going back and rereading things I have already seen - several times over by now.
- I can't sign out of the site - it keeps telling me to update my profile. I'd be more than happy to do so, but there's nowhere to update anything, even if I wanted to.
- I can't add any new blogs to the feeder
SO....
Does anybody know of another feeder
that works well??
The marriage is over.
The romance is gone.
Today's quote (very fittingly) is from Sam Goldwyn.... "This makes me so sore it gets my dandruff up"
I am sorry you are frustraited! I know the feeling of helplessness. I am not very technical and when I have this type of a problem I go to KarenValentinedesign.com. Karen redesigned my blog for me. She was wonderful to work with and very reasonable. If you are at the end of your rope she might be able to trouble shoot this for you. Best of luck.....PS I receive no kick back for this recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI signed up for Bloglovin, but found that the GoogleFriend deal never did go away -- I still get regular updates there! and I have no trouble at all with MyYahoo feed. So why not try either or both of those? most of the blogs I follow have the RSS symbol which will give you choices of feed, and since I use MyYahoo a lot, that's usually my choice.
ReplyDeleteBloglovin has taken to stuffing all kinds of commercial blogs in with their feed, including every word ever written in ATherapy, which I don't even remember signing up for! so I delete the feed as often as not, never actually attempt to use it.
Readers change and are updated so often that I'd recommend a Google search for reviews of RSS readers. Search "best rss reader". The key is to limit your search to recent articles. I selected "past year". Maybe you will find some helpful advice here.
ReplyDeleteHere's one article I found
http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-rss-reader-aggregator.htm
Can you still read from your blogger dashboard? I'll be interested to see what anyone else suggests as far as a reader goes. I know there is feedly, but I chose Bloglovin over that a while back. What a pain for you!!
ReplyDeleteoh dear......I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I use the Blog List gadget on Blogger. It's always a good backup for such emergencies. I have it set to sort by most recently updated and to show 5 blogs. To expand it you just click "show all" to see your full list. It takes a bit of time to set it up but I have found it a much better idea.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can really relate. I think in my case, I'm using a satelite for internet and its not really fast. So I think that some feeds simply don't want to wait as long to get delivered. I'm no genius on computers though.
ReplyDeleteTried to comment on my bloglovin feed....no dice.
ReplyDeleteSo I used the link from my blog.
Just wanted to say 'I feel for you'
How frustrating! I hope you get it straitened out.
ReplyDeleteI am using Inoreader now. I find it quite decent, and adding blogs is easy. When I had the same issues, some suggested Feedly too.. May be you should try either of these
