Just a quick drop in on my part to let you know that I ordered my new glasses today so in about a week I'll be able to see...that will be HUGE after eight very long weeks. Now, if I could only get the covid vaccination registration site to allow me to register to get my vaccine. For reasons known only unto itself it insists I have a 'duplicate health card' and kicks me out of the system. Oddly, I used that same health card when I saw the eye doctor with no issues. One of those mysteries of life that I sure hope will be rectified soon!!
Oh do you have any pharmacies that give shots near you--perhaps getting in line there would be easier. We got our 2nd shot at CVS in a nearby town...

Yes, there are pharmacies that are giving the shots but unfortunately I need a working health card (at least in their system anyway) to be able to register. Have to get that issue sorted out before I can register anywhere. (and yes, I'm pretty happy that the glasses are soon going to be here!)

Nice to know somebody misses me - thank you! And I'm working on the glitch from two different angles and hopefully they'll meet in the middle and fix it.
DeleteGo into your local drugstore and talk to the pharmacist. He may be able to put you into his system. Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteI've been talking to real people all along but they're as helpless to do anything as I am. My hopes are pinned on the member of parliament for our area..or, barring that, the government agency to actually come through for me.

DeleteI'm glad for you that you're awaiting new glasses already. Hubs had some problems after his cataract surgery in January and he's still waiting to order new readers.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry your DH is having such issues - it must be horrible for him! I thought 55 days was long enough to wait but his situation is FAR worse! I hope he has a solution soon so he can get on with his life.
