You know that old saying that it never rains but what it pours? Well, it seems to be pouring here but not of the type that falls from the sky and helps the earth.
I told you yesterday that Jack`s sister passed away and that we`ll be dealing with her funeral the first of the week. Most of you know that we are awaiting the imminent birth of our second grandbaby and will be driving across the country to meet him. Well, the car had to be checked over prior to such a big trip - and - four new tires later we`re good to go. This morning I had to take my main computer in for repairs and the service tech very chippily told me that it`s quite likely I will need a new one. NOT what I needed to hear! He did say he might be wrong, so I`m hopeful. Mine is only a year and a half old so I hadn`t better need a new one!
So....this post is being done using the tablet which is definitely not comfortable to type on. Because of that, please excuse any typos!! And - being that I haven`t the foggiest idea of how to post pictures, obviously there won`t be any. Of course it`s going into a long w`end here and back-to-school as well so I doubt there`s much hope of repairs until next week. Needless to say, there might not be too many posts happening!
Your quote is from an unknown source...Life has many ways of testing a person`s will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hopefully your computer is just fine. Mine is about 8 years old (an iMac) and so far so good. But I have an iPad and iPhone as backups, although they don’t work for blog posting. Have a nice weekend and a safe trip! xo
ReplyDeleteYou do have a lor going on! The new baby will make things all better.
ReplyDeleteThe farewelling of a loved one and a welcome to a much loved new little baby. It does all seem to be happening at your end, doesn't it. I hope your computer can be fixed. I am so excited for you and your family on the imminent arrival of the wee baby. Praying that all goes well with the birth and praying that you have a safe trip across the country and back again. Take care, lovely Mary Anne.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to you and your family on the passing of your sister-in-law.
ReplyDeleteIt all does seem to be happening at once, so I hope for only good happenings now. Safe travels to meet your new grandbaby, and happy Labour Day weekend. Enjoy your computer break and take care of each other. Hugs
Perfect quote for how life happens. We match you with car expenses and a crashed laptop. Hubby just bought a new one and now we must learn Windows 10. Drag us screaming into current times...
ReplyDeleteStay safe and stay strong my friend.
Oooh, hope that computer doesn't need replacing!
ReplyDeleteI hate doing blog stuff on my tablet or phone and LOVE my desk top way better than Terry's lap top. Yup, I have always known that When It Rain It Pours so I hold on and wait for the next foot to fall. Bet that guy fixes your computer.
ReplyDeleteKeep your chin up and carry on.
Happy weekend. We are having a long one here in the USA. I mentioned that to Terry yesterday and we both wondered why that makes a difference since we are retired. I admit, we don't know but it's still fun to have a long weekend!!
xx, Carol
So sorry to hear of all the things that you have to deal with. Life certainly has a good way of giving us a lap full of troubles all at the same time. Sending you strength. Have a safe trip and hopefully you won't need a new computer.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your computer frustration. I'm using my husband's IPod while on our trip/vacation and it's not very cooperative but I'm making due.
I hope for the best for you and your family!
That quote is so true, at the moment I'm in the everything happening at once camp too! I was sorry to hear about your sister in law and the pesky car and computer woes! Here's to the happy baby news!
