In CQ I would have to say Carole Samples book, Marsha Michlers books and of course all of Judith Baker Montana's books.

I have been getting into paper arts, stamping, etc. the last couple of years and so now have tons of those but could not name any as favorites. I look at them all for certain things. I have to stop buying books as the last paper book I bought when I got home I already had it. Crazy, eh?
Those JoAnnes 40% off coupons always suck me in to buying books.

I am glad you are getting back into
CQ. Did you sign up for the CQ12 challenge. I did but don't know what I am doing - do I ever until I start?

Hugs

fredaBFredaBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08000510495713705938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-88982456217981239962012-01-01T13:23:32.457-05:002012-01-01T13:23:32.457-05:00Thats a great question lol and one I cant answer.....Thats a great question lol and one I cant answer............as in only one book?! But I have your choice myself and it is sumptious without being far out there creatively. The simplest of methods have been used to the most amazing effect and we are told how its been achieved, which is such a gift whn you crave to do something similar yourself.
It deserves buying and rereading but Im going to have to reread afew and get back to you before i cabn whittle my inspirational books, down to just one! ( Dont hold your breath, it may take me a while lol)liniecathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15643986273499722414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-74590621506861413522011-12-30T21:53:02.348-05:002011-12-30T21:53:02.348-05:00Good Question.

Marsha Michler's "The Magic Of Crazy Quilting". I love the OLD Victorian quilting of a hodge podge of materials with every seam stitched and motifs stitched in the pieces, sans ribbon flowers and other frau frau.Carol- Beads and Birdshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11062821517519300477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-77253074459331703692011-12-30T21:20:03.885-05:002011-12-30T21:20:03.885-05:00When I want inspiration or just a dose of colour, ...When I want inspiration or just a dose of colour, pattern and all the good things that go into fibre art, I pick up one of my Fibrearts Design Books. I have Volumes 4, 5, 6 and 7. Great stuff in those and I just browse and for some reason, nothing else matters. I just enjoy looking at all the wonderful things people have made.
I do like your choice. Perhaps I should add it to my list of books I want. ;-)Doloreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00013261733996949731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-21421372331098857792011-12-30T20:46:29.771-05:002011-12-30T20:46:29.771-05:00Books are so important for information and inspira...Books are so important for information and inspiration. Depends on what I am doing, what books I will pull off the shelf. For crazy quilting I find I look at Judith Baker Montano books quite often, I have one at my side right now!
DebMosaic Magpiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08715004978582753127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-86365073349761486542011-12-30T19:11:04.632-05:002011-12-30T19:11:04.632-05:00I have found that the books that have most inspire...I have found that the books that have most inspired me are ones that have shaped my attitude towards art, and creating. First up would be "The Artists' Way" by Julia Cameron, and another would be "Romancing the Ordinary" by Sarah Ban Breathnach. Both books empowered me to accept myself as an artist and creative person. I would recommend both books highly.Suztatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15703965965474209546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-47073191479209226392011-12-30T18:48:25.808-05:002011-12-30T18:48:25.808-05:00usually the 500s series, in whatever shape i'm...usually the 500s series, in whatever shape i'm into at the time. most of my books are techniques ones tho.kaiteMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16299002622308267375noreply@blogger.com
