Oh dear...today marks five years since she died.
Perhaps this is a gentle nudge from her to get going on the project in my head.
Thank you ... I can even get sentimental over others treasures ;-)
oxo~*~Patty Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03953758102509632020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-33634970236721918702016-02-07T01:14:46.586-05:002016-02-07T01:14:46.586-05:00What great treasures you have found! I was thinking what about a small memory quilt made from them. or multiple small ones for each of your children.Baa. xxxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12992879898811807074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-61547184426582688652016-02-06T10:05:35.196-05:002016-02-06T10:05:35.196-05:00Love that orange sweater! You wound the wool around these 'needles' in a figure 8 then did a sort of back-stitch to form the centre then crocheted them together. I still have it....somewhere!
Sue
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-66161427827691191962016-02-05T17:45:25.688-05:002016-02-05T17:45:25.688-05:00Oh the treasures you have found. My Grandma made an afghan long ago using a plastic "knitting machine" that created a type of yo-yo that she then stitched together. It won a blue ribbon at the fair. Each suggestion you have gotten looks like very good ideas. So beautiful are these vintage pieces of cloth and creative stitches.Createologyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17141896048450385243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24429902.post-69526882444627646782016-02-05T10:42:53.812-05:002016-02-05T10:42:53.812-05:00Well, that's always the question isn't it....Well, that's always the question isn't it. I'm not overly sentimental so I don't tend to keep much. I just try to find good homes for the other stuff. For items like that I'd search out an artist that makes things with vintage fabrics and trims. The apron though just needs to be starched and pressed and hung casually in your kitchen as part of the decor.Boudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00641013916263271948noreply@blogger.com
