The thing under the hat is a pottery item that I think is supposed to hold wine. #2 son brought it back from Italy. It's never had liquid inside because I like it just as it is. It's the only thing I could find that would serve as a 'head' to model the hat. I don't know which I like best, your knitted hat, or the thing that's modeling it. What IS that? I'm kind of sorry that your downsizing pictures may be coming to a close soon. I hope you reflect on it in some way. It's so very helpful to get inside the heads of others on this journey. It may help me sort through my own thoughts on the subject. Haha! :-)
A couple of years ago our knitting group put on an exhibition of knitted items from the First World War, and it was very successful. I made some gaiters, with a cable down the sides, and also some knee warmers for the soldiers in WWI. (One dedicated knitter made a wedding dress!!)
So I think I might try that hat, it looks like it would be very warm.
Val (UK)Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00069489622397058207noreply@blogger.com
