It's not very exciting to see today but I did get the sky and the grass areas quilted.
You should be able to click to embiggen and hopefully see the details a bit better.And...because most of you couldn't see the 'sliver' details, hopefully this might show it better....
- Best pour yourself a cuppa (and have the pot handy too!) before you venture forth into THIS rabbit hole. Some bread crumbs might be useful too (just sayin').
- THIS little fellow caught my eye.
- Have a peek through the gallery of THIS incredible artist! Her medium is organza and I simply can't imagine how she does it.
- THIS takes you to a video showing how to make a tunnel book (something else I had never come across before).
Today's quote is from Voltaire..."Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities"
That spooky piece is coming along fast. Thanks for the closeup too. The tunnel book is new to me, too.
ReplyDeleteI think I might be somewhat obsessed with this one and am spending far too much time playing with it. The tunnel book intrigued me so thought I'd share.
DeleteThe tunnel book is sort of new for me also. I have seen them before but never knew what they were called. I also looked at this video which I thought was neat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL6SY_Sytsk
ReplyDeleteThere's actually a yearly calendar you can get that, after you tear off a page a day, you're left with a dimensional piece of art. Very cool. Sort of takes a tunnel book a step further.
DeleteYou are moving along well.
ReplyDeleteIt's coming together bit by bit. I'm currently waiting for a bat delivery.
DeleteBeautiful quilting on your Halloween piece;))) Love how the sky looks...with the little ghost-ies...;)))
ReplyDeletethanks for the links--hugs, Julierose
The sky colour didn't photograph very well, not sure why. I had to add little ghosts and there's more been added to the border too.
DeleteGreat detail in the sky and grass. I love Project Gutenberg and have read lots on that site.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I don't know why I haven't heard of that project before but it sure is easy to get lost in it.
DeleteWhat a fun Halloween quilt! Love the quilting details.
ReplyDeleteThank you Astrid. It's not my usual type of thing to do, but I'm having fun with it.
DeleteOh wow, your haunted house is looking amazing!? So many details to drink in. Those ghosts are cute. Gosh, you are so very clever, Mary Anne. About those organza beauties...another wow! A timely quote for these days. The cesspool of idiocy and the absurdities many freely believe these days does beggar belief.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim! I agree those organza creations are definitely wow-worthy.
DeleteOh the little ghosts. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteCan't have a Halloween project without ghosties!
DeleteI love the ghosts!
ReplyDeleteI thought they should be included!
