Closing in

I'm closing in on the end of the embroidery on my latest hussif.  Over the weekend I managed to fit in some stitching time...

I added the little kitty sitting at her sewing machine (my daughter-in-love likes cats, so I had to fit one in somehow); plus the cup of tea and the pincushion.  The second photo shows the needle threader and three little spools of thread (used as a seam treatment).
I promised to let you know when the latest issue of the 'Crazy Quilt Quarterly' magazine is available, and the time is now!  You can order your copy either by clicking on the cover picture below, or the one in my sidebar.

It's another great issue, filled with all sorts of inspiration and how to's for the crazy quilter (or anyone interested in embroidery).

Please don't forget that we're always looking for content for upcoming issues and we welcome your photos, articles and submissions.  Please don't be shy, and share your work!

Today the quote is from Milton Berle...."It's rough to go through life with your contents looking as if they settled during shipping!"

I'm all for the cat motif! And I like that you're closing in on the work, like a shy woodland creature that might bolt if you make a sudden move! Ideas do work that way sometimes.

Oh, such a sweet kitty, unlike my naughty real life kitty who has just decided it's playtime (just as we are going to go to bed!). You are finding such sweet pictures, your hussif is going to be amazing! Love it!!!

So much for reading! I 'read' the title and the first thing I thought was that you were closing your blog! DUH! Don't laugh! That's the way my mind is working these days. I look forward to seeing the finished project.

Wonderful additions to your Hussif. The sewing kitty is really cute. Even though I don't CQ I do enjoy this quarterly CQ magazine. Thank you for linking to it.

Fun additions, I'm getting inspired. I try not to over commit, but I might throw caution to the wind. I enjoy your work, MA.
