A little more progreess

Over the weekend I got a little more done on the hussif project...

I added the buttons on the left and am working on the zig-zag seam (below the spools of thread).  It's not finished yet, and unfortunately the bling that is those little round 'beads' doesn't show up in the picture.  They sparkle like diamonds in real life!

Question for those of you who own tablets - I'm considering getting one and would like some pointers as to what features I should be looking for (and what features I should avoid).  I know absolutely nothing about such things so I need all the help I can get!!

Today the quote is from William James..."The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated"

  2. More lovely progress on your Hussif Mary Anne! Afraid I can't help with the tablet question as I don't have one and know nothing about them. Hope you find something suitable! Christine x

  3. I love this project. I think it's my favorite so far. Probably because it's black and white.

  4. I have an Android tablet 13, using it right now! It won't sub for your laptop, but it's a nice addition. I don't have a smartphone but I wonder if a tablet would be superfluous if I had a sp. Most of what I do on the tablet, including audio books and movies, and apps such as Skype, could be done on a phone.

  9. Hi Mary Anne!
    Some great links there.
I'm joining the QAL, not sure if I will be able to stay with it, I do get distracted by so many craft projects!
I covet all those scissors you've been stitching - they are gorgeous! I need to stitch something similar for my header or Favicon - been meaning to for forever!

  11. I'm catching up on blog reading. Your hussif progress is gorgeous!

I don't exactly have a tablet. I have an iPad Mini (a gift from my over-generous sister.) It does not work well for posting to my blog (I think it's something about the app, not the iPad, so it may be something to ask about or look into if that is something you are hoping to use your table for.) Sometimes it works better than my camera for taking photos of my work. I can crop it on the iPad. I just email it to myself and open it in my laptop to add text to the photos and to put them on my blog. Good luck with your search!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
