shovel, shovel, toil and trouble.....

Yeah, I suspect you have figured out already from that blog post title just what I've been doing!  My studio had reached the point of either having to move out, or shovel it out.  I opted for shoveling because I really like where we live.  Two and a half days of solid slugging and it now looks just about the same as it did before I started.  Yep....there's still piles of 'stuff' everywhere, but at least the piles have a purpose now and aren't just hodgepodges of mess.

No pictures today,
because you really don't want
to see the mess, either
before OR after!
.

And the quote for today, from J.C. F. von Schiller.....  "Happy is he who learns to bear what he cannot change"

  1. I have been doing the same thing. But what I found to be helpful is to do an area at a time then stop for the day and move on to something else. I did those piles last - still have a couple- but at least everything else is in order so its easy to put each thing in each pile where it goes. I share my "studio" with my "office" so I have to admit that the studio and computer area look great. Those piles are over in the office area!

  2. Sometimes being creative can be very messy! I just straightened up my work table yesterday. I love your new banner. Your stitching is so beautiful....I see you've also been up to lots of lovely little baby things. So adorable!!! xo

Excuse me...I beg to differ! I was in that self same room the other day and it was perfect. I didn't notice any mess and it certainly was more neat and organized than mine ever was on a good day! You are just too fussy! LOL
