Weekend stitching....and terror

Yep, I bet THAT title got you thinking didn't it?!!

Here's the stitching part....

Above is a little motif created using beads pirated from a thrift store necklace
and leaves from the scrapbooking department at the dollar store.

Below is a seam treatment where I used the
lovely stencils from Sharon Boggon to create the curved lines.

Above is another seam treatment based on Sharon's
stencils.
Below is a catherine wheel.

Below is another seam treatment using Sharon's stencils
for the basic form.

As for the 'terror' part of this post....

Tomorrow I teach (or at least try to)
embroidery to a group of about a dozen ladies from
the local quilt guild.

That, in itself, shouldn't be a 'walk the plank'
moment, so why do I feel as if I'm poised
on the edge??

AND EVERYBODY KNOWS I CAN'T SWIM!!!!!!!

  2. Ah, I know that feeling so well! just think, in a few hours you'll be wondering why you were worried and anxious. It will all turn into energy and the class will be great. Then next thing you know they'll want you back, and YOU'LL AGREE!!!

  7. Love all your stitching this week. You have been a busy little bee.
I can well understand your little bit of apprehension with teaching a bunch of seasoned stitchers, lol. But I believe every stitcher has room (and the eagerness) to learn new stuff. I am sure you will enjoy it once you get going.

  10. I'm sure you will do very well. And find that you can swim excellently. Remember, you have so much knowledge to pass on that your students will be eager to hear it all.

  11. Nice motifs!
You'll be just fine......just remember that everyone is there because they WANT to be, and because they want to learn and have fun. Smile and breathe. And if that doesn't work, just imagine everyone sitting there in their underwear.....teehee.....lol

  12. Your stitch combos are really elegant. I am confident you will do a great job teaching. You are very knowledgeable and have a lot to share. I have been considering doing a little class but haven't gotten my nerve up.
