taking a break from thumb twiddling....

to show you this....

This is the bottom of a leg of a pair of black denim jeans.  Found in a thrift store and, despite my having altogether too much in the way of denim, impossible to not bring home.  I 'see' a beautiful purse/bag lurking in this (and the other leg is identical, so I can make TWO!!).

  1. You've got such a good eye for denim MA - this pair of jeans had your name on it!!!!

Now I would have looked at them and thought about those 'flower power' days - but YOU saw a bag in the making!!!
It will make a fabulous bag - now I will see jeans as "possibilities" when I spot them in the opshop - thank you!!! Just as well you and I aren't in the same town ha ha!!!

Wishing you a JOY filled 2013 and thank you for being a part of my blogging journey in 2012.

  6. Those were EXPENSIVE jeans when new; I remember seeing some similar in one of my catalogs~~loved the jeans, not the price!
What a bargain you got!!! And can't wait to see the finished product either.
