Yikes!

The drawers are exploding,

The drawers are exploding!!!!!!!!!!

THE DRAWERS.......

Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

The great studio re-paint is about to happen over the next few days and the chest of drawers that holds my crazy quilting fabric stash are bulging open (quite literally).

SO.....

this is drawer #1,
upended on the floor.
The scissors and the iron have been busy most of the afternoon and I have this lot only HALF done.
(too much stash you say???)

There just might be a few chubby envelopes of stash enhancement up for grabs in the next while along with at least one large garbage bag destined for the fabric recycling depot.  Now, if only I could lose weight this easily!!

  1. There's never too much stash! I've graduated to four large, clear tote boxes with hinged lids for the fancy fabrics. White/cream; blue/green/purple; red/orange/yellow/gold; and then the final with black/brown/grey. It's all visible and it works for me! Silks go in a separate box as do the batiks.

  7. Wow! Boy did it ever :)
That is one way to get started on the project lol.
I can't wait until I have a dresser to fill with stash... and have that much stash. Ha... maybe I should stop thinking that is a goal considering what you are going through?!

  9. I'm willing to bet that as you go through the stash, you'll never get to the end because one little piece will get you started on a new project. That always happens to me.

  10. I have a few drawers like that. The worst one is my rick rack drawer. Rick rack really tangles a lot!

  11. Ha! If only all of us could lose weight that way. I'm thinking of doing some CQ for a small project in beige and whites so I have been doing a bit of sorting. Don't know how far I'll get.
    Good luck with your task.

OOOO...I can only hope that some of your true and trusted, close friends get to pick through the outgoing said stash before it hits the recycling! Good idea for our next ATC programme.
