Black denim jacket - beginnings

I spent parts of yesterday and today starting work on a recycled  jacket using black denim.  It's the first time I've used black and I have to admit I'm really liking it - enough that I intend to make another one for myself.  For now I'm at a screeching halt though because I need to make a trip to the fabric store to pick up lining and hopefully some off white jean thread.  The person this jacket is for likes black and off white so I'm trying to stick to those tones.

Here's a couple of photos of the pieces thus far...
I know the photos make the denim look blue, but it IS black and tones of grey!!

  2. Hi MA - That jacket is going to be really neat. If you can't find the white jean thread let me know and I will look around for some down here. Have never seen any but then have never looked.

  3. That's going to be a great looking jacket! What color will the lining be? A contrast color perhaps?

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
